George Hotz is a guy who first Hack iPhone has made a claim that he is working on new solution that facilitates you to unlock iPhone OS 3.1.3 firmware loaded devices and even iPad. Jailbreak is a method that provides you opportunity to run to run several applications available outside the Apple App Store. So you can run illegal apps that could not supported by Apple.

George Hotz has also made a Tweet from his Twitter account regarding the video that are showing showing new solution to jailbreak iPhone OS 3.1.3 based devices. Hotz Further stated in his Blog

“The jailbreak is all software based, and is as simple to use as blackra1n. It is completely untethered, works on all current tethered models(ipt2, 3gs, ipt3), and will probably work on iPad too.

The most intersting thing that Hotz claim is that his solution will able to jailbreak the iPad, which have to be available from nest month. The video is provided below.
