2) The most correct one and suaitable option in my opinion is to make two files named as sitemap.xml and sitemap.xml.gz. It is quite easy to make these file open your notepad and save as with the name of Sitemap.xml and make the file type all and save it. now repeat this process for Sitemap.xml.gz. After creating these two files upload these files into your root folder and set the permissions of both files to 777. And come back to admin panel and save the plugin again and your sitemap is ready.
