Google Launches URL Shortener Goo.gl

apple-logoURL shorteners have been around so many years but it was not popular as it is nows a days. The all scenario was changed with the rise of twitter and short-form, 140-character blogging. With limited space for tweeting the he URL shortener business has been grown up. After the tremendous success of the bit.ly it seems that every major site is focusing on their own URL Shortener. Recently Facebook has introduced their own URL Shortener fb.me.

Now Google has just launched their own URL Shortener Goo.gl. it is the official Google URL Shortener of world largest search engine.

In a short announcement today the tech giant reveled that Google Toolbar and Feed Syndication services now use Goo.gl for link sharing.

Facebook and Google are trusted brand with some huge audience and very good short URL domains. You Can make your own Shortener URL of Facebook like fb.me/Techinfoclub.

Right now Google URL Shortener is only available from the Google Toolbar and FeedBurner and Google Blog states that “If the service proves useful, we may eventually make it available for a wider audience in the future”. Now we have to wait for the service but one thing is confirmed that it is the beginning a new battle for the URL shortening market.
